This year Phantoms Water Polo Club has been successful in registering with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) the: Phantoms Water Polo Club – ‘Sport Development Fund’. The fund was established to assist in raising funds for the proposed development of both high performance and junior water polo programs. The fund allows for expenditure in: · Equipment purchase and hire. · Training Resources. · Travel and Accommodation · Training Costs The Australian Sports Foundation Ltd. (ASF) was established by the Australian Government to assist organizations to raise funds to develop sport in Australia through public and corporate donations. Pursuant to the ASF’s listing in Division 30, section 30-90 of the Income Tax Assessment Act (1977) donations to the ASF are tax deductible. Donors must contribute unconditionally to the ASF to claim a tax deduction, however, the ASF’s structure makes it possible for a donor to nominate a registered project as the preferred beneficiary of their gift. The Phantoms Water Polo Club (Inc) – Sports Development Fund, project no: 210280, is registered with and conducted under the charter of the ASF (ABN 27 008 613 959). All claims are subject to being accepted by the Commissioner of Taxation. Donors who are uncertain of their position should seek their own professional advice. Receipts are issued by the ASF to the donor whose name and details appear on the donation form. Receipts may be issued in either an individuals or company name.
